Why this programme exists
Good research should not end on a library shelf.
Nearly 100 Master's dissertations are produced at CEV-UdM each year, many addressing urgent public health realities in Africa. Yet once defended, valuable findings can remain difficult to discover, cite, and use.
CEV-UdM and HRnet created this programme to carry that work further. Selected students receive structured, post-defence support to reshape their completed dissertation into a clear scientific manuscript and navigate submission to an appropriate peer-reviewed journal.
The academic work remains yours. The publication journey begins only after your defence and official results.

The programme builds on your existing academic work without changing your supervision, assessment, defence, or jury.

Work with an HRnet mentor
After successful defence, reshape the dissertation into a focused, journal-ready manuscript through individual mentoring.

Submit for publication
Prepare the full submission package and send your manuscript to a suitable peer-reviewed journal.
The HRnet mentor does not replace the dissertation supervisor, influence academic assessment, join the jury, or intervene before results are communicated.

An experienced HRnet researcher joins your publication journey free of charge, helping you make the scientific contribution in your dissertation precise, readable, and ready for an international audience.
Identify the strongest publishable contribution in the defended dissertation.
Restructure the work into the IMRAD scientific manuscript format.
Strengthen style, clarity, argumentation, and journal compliance.
Identify a relevant peer-reviewed journal, prioritising options without APCs.
Prepare the cover letter, declarations, formatting, and submission package.
Support responses to reviewers and revisions through the peer-review process.

Built on a five-year Memorandum of Understanding
The programme is one expression of a broader CEV-UdM–HRnet commitment to strengthen public health teaching, research, and capacity building for students, institutions, and communities. The MoU provides a durable framework while each activity is defined through clear responsibilities, expected outcomes, and agreed resources.
